Our Ranch Dreams & Needs

Proverbs 19:21  "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but the LORD determines his steps."

If you asked us a year ago what our plans were, you would get a similar overall view, but a drastically different layout of the ranch.  It is crazy how God moves.  We had one project in particular for our rabbits that we were so excited for and started moving on.  We hit a couple obstacles, ran out of materials, and the project got put on hold.  During the time it was stalled, we discovered a fatal flaw in our planning.  Thank the Lord, we had not gone any farther on the plan.  We would have had years of struggles with our bunnies!  I know it sounds silly to worry about something as small as the bunnies, but we are so dependent on God to bless our work.  Without that blessing, we don't want to go forward!

So, in an attempt to figure out what is next on the list, we have decided to put out our wants & needs list to our followers.  While our plans say one thing, when God provides the resources for another, we are readily available to follow down His path and not ours!

If you are one of our followers and supporters, we are asking for your prayers to help us make the right decisions going forward.  If God leads you in any of the following areas please reach out to us and offer your encouragement or critique!

God is good and we are blessed!

Fencing

This is an ongoing need here at the Ranch.  Right now, we are focusing on our new Goat and Alpaca pastures.  Each of these needs 5-6' tall fencing with electric fence reinforcement to keep predators out.  We currently have all the electric fence materials needed, but are lacking some of the posts and fencing needed to secure the property.

What we need: 180 8' tall round, wood fence posts. 1,000 feet of 6' no climb fencing.

Ranch Tools

There are tons of things we could use to help out during any given day.  So, if you have any of the following laying around collecting dust, please consider us!

What we need:  Wagons, shovels, picks, axes, trailers, horse tack - combs and brushes, halters, leads....

Animal Feed

So, we are hovering around 200 animals on the Ranch.  We have never had a shortage of feed and hopefully never will.  If God puts is on your heart to help us in this way, we will gladly accept your generosity!

What we need:  20 bags of All Flock Feed per month.  40 bales of bermuda grass/hay per month.  300 crickets and 35 mice per month...

Ranch Truck

We aren't picky but...  This truck needs to be able to make a monthly hay run, tow horses, donkeys and alpacas to the vet and to new owners, and to haul basic job materials around the property.

What we need:  Our ideal ranch truck is a 3/4 ton flat bed.  Gas or diesel are fine.  It does need to be registered for road use.
